The Week In Review

It's been a slow week blog-wise. Yesterday, though, the rumour cranked into over-time and your Faithful Correspondent (that's me) heard quite a bit of intriguing and informative information.

Item: The owner of the IBB, that would be the drama queen mother of the nitwit "Manager" is talking with the owner of the building that lately housed the now-departed Antique Store about moving her venue there. My source tells me that unfortunately, and typically, the Queen Bee had forgotten her meeting and was incredibly late. How do you forget a meeting like this? Expanding the IBB would be an excellent move were it the business in the hands of anyone other than the Queen Bee and the "Manager". P.A. sorely needs a place where excellent coffee is made and where one can sit either at proper tables or in comfortable chairs, relax, read, chat with friends. The Antique Store building offers this, but the cost of establishing such a place will be steep ... plumbing in a kitchen facility, redcoration, acquiring furniture and hiring staff. It will take a staff of four people in two shifts, minimum, to keep an expanded IBB running smoothly. Given the overall incompetance of the Queen Bee and the "Manager" the prospect is not great. Now, if The Money were running the operation, it would be a different story.

Item: Ashley has returned to the restaurant downstairs. There is great rejoicing from the owner, the bookkeeper and those of us who have suffered from indifferent cocktails and service from one certain server. Ashley has plans to relegate the one certain server to the catering department and off the floor entirely, which will be a good thing. I trust only two people with the making of my paisley martinis, M., the owner, and Ashley.
