Thanksgiving ... Why Be Sober?

As Louis Jordan once asked "What's the use of being sober when you're going to get drunk again?" ... indeed, many of us could give an answer to Mr. Jordan's musical question. As for myself, after a cognac cocktail and three glasses of wine I leave you, Devoted reader, to fill in the blanks as to my state of being and decide for yourself.

Despite the booze, I wish all my friends near and far a very happy Thanksgiving, especially to my closest Old Friend and my friends far away in distant lands. Thank you ... I am enriched by your friendship.
