Whatever Next Department

There are some new developments in various on-going sagas to relate to Devoted Readers.

First, there is the IBB. Sensing that he has, perhaps, pulled a major blunder from which he may not recover, even from Mommy, the Queen Bee, the "Manager" is now saying that he wasn't supposed to open the IBB Monday morning, Jack Havoc (last seen puking his guts out onstage at the Upside ... which got him banned from that venue) was supposed to open. And the story goes that Jack Havoc showed up but couldn't get the door open so he went home.

There are more holes in that story than in a string bag. First of all, the bakers called over to the main store and found that the "Manager" was slated to open. Second, even if Jack Havoc did show up and couldn't get the door open, the two bakers were inside at that time in the morning. A sensible person would have either knocked on the door to attract their attention or call on either a pay or cell phone and have the bakers let him in. (But then we are talking about someone who pukes in public). And even if that did happen, what excuse does the "Manager" have for showing up briefly, taping a "Gone Fishing" sign in the window and leaving? Wouldn't you at least try to salvage the day by being open in the evening?

A likely story.

Through the bush telegraph I have learned that Michael was informed by a third party about my abandonment by the Snooty Server. I would have mentioned it to him myself, directly, but every time I saw him he looked like he had enough on his mind already and then the Snooty Server would be around. Yesterday I saw Michael and I mentioned the incident and he apologized and said he'd had along talk with her. "It's not an isolated incident," he said. The Snooty Server has been relieved of her catering duties and was lately seen across the street at the rat-infested Italian restaurant deep in conversation with the owner. Six, two and even she bails out from downstairs and ends up across the street.
