A Variety of Art Nouveau LInks

My friend in Holland, Aviva, sent me these links which are the vout, Gate!

First of all there's The Bing Empire, currently on display at the Van Gogh Museum. Seigfreid Bing was a Parisian art dealer and collector whose gallery, L'Art Nouveau, specialized in Japanese prints and antiques as well as the new decorative style we know today as Art Nouveau.

Then there's this wonderful page on the Amsterdam School of Architecture. This is a beautiful archtectural style and deftly combines hard angles and fluid lines in a way which seems at once modern and liveable (unlike, say, Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier whose works seems cold and ugly). The the work of Glasgow architect and designer Charles Rennie MacIntosh and the American Prairie School, especially Frank Lloyd Wright, are very similar in style and feeling.
