The Inner Voice ~ Being Part One of Innumerable Parts

Greetings, Gate. Latch on to this: we all have our individual bags. Some cats, like James Brown, have brand new bags, but we all have our own bags of which we dig. Some cats will latch on to your bag, other cats won't. It makes no diff. It's your bag and you should dig it.

That being said, let's examine the case of this cat from Down Town whose bag is to write the Inner Voice, being dispatches from "The Independant Republic of San Juan de Fuca." He posts these xeroxed broadsides on lamp posts and telephone poles along the Main Drag and people dig them or not as the case may be. Personally, I think the cat takes a full page to say a lot of nothing, but I commend his effort. You decide for yourself, Gate. Here's a re-print of the first issue of Inner Voice I found:

Inner Voice, Issue 5

A Spirited Newspaper for the Independant Republic of San Juan de Fuca

Cast Off The Shackles Of Yesterday

First, let's get something straight. This world we have created does not work. Even with the best of intentions - and let us trust each other on this - we have created a world that does not serve us. The past got me here - I no longer trust the old ways.

No big deal - it was a hell of an effort. Full of some very noble moments showing men and women at their finest. We are to be commended for trying so hard and risking so much. We have already paid for our illusions. And Paid. We deserve better.

Why don't we try something new? Why should there be any sacred cows as we strive to build lives that are worthy of us. Change is the only way to that life.

Transformation scares the shit out of me but its not as scary as letting things continue as they have. We all know where our old world is headed. I do not want to go there.

We already have the skills and determination. We buuilt the world we live in now - we can build any world we want. Let's make a new one.

While we are waiting for everybody else to get started, we can go ahead and start changing how we live this instant, in this split second we call now.

It's your world and your life - but you are never alone. You will have help - just ask for it.

... Mr. Inner Voice, of thee I dig.
