Photographic Quotable

This afternoon I was taking a photograph of one of the Victorian cottages in the Uptown district of Port Townsend with my Zeiss Tengor box camera. Just as I was about to depress the shutter lever, this old gent walks by me saying "Kodak built that house for guys like you." I was startled from my photographic reverie and initially only heard "Kodak built that ..." and assumed he was talking about my box camera. I was about to tell him the camera was a Zeiss, not a Kodak when he finished his sentence. Comprehending, I replied "I think Kodak built the entire town!" The old gent considered for a moment and said "You've got a point there," and then ambled on his way.
